Journalist with Armenian origin is appointed as Davutogl’s Senior Advisor

Prime Minister of Turkey Ahmet Davutoglu has appointed journalist of Armenian origin Etyen Mahçupyan his Senior Advisor, Vatan newspaper informs.

According to the source the Turkish Prime Minister and Mahçupyan have been acquainted for many years.

They had regular meetings during Davutoglu’s activity as the Minister of Foreign Affairs.

Mahçupyan said that he will support the Turkish Prime Minister by carrying out works in the direction of “democracy”, “government and public relations” and “minorities”.

Mahçupyan is the first non-Muslim person among the Advisors of the Turkish President and Prime Minister.
