Armenian wrestler Arthur Alexanyan showed perfect result at the European Championship

On March 11 Wrestling European Championship was ended in Serbian capital Belgrade. Arthur Alexanyan from Gyumri (96 kg) staged perfectly. He got a range of victories and won the struggle against Lithuanian sportsman Ezerskis Mindaugas on the final round. So he got the title of the champion. Arsen Julfalakyan (74 kg) and Yuri Patrikeev got the third place.

Roman Amoyan (55 kg) became the victim of the partial judgment. On the beginning of the championship he struggled against an Azerbaijani sportsman. The judge raised the rival’s hand as if he was the winner. Our wrestler sat on the carpet and claimed a fair decision. Unfortunately, the leadership of the federation decided to disqualify Amoyan.

Davit Safaryan(66 kg) from the free wrestling managed to show good result and got the third place.
