Ed. Nalbandyan: “Relations between Armenia and Vatican are based on the common Christian values”

On March 21 Armenian Minister of Foreign Affairs accepted Holy See Nuncio Marek Solchinski on occasion of handing the copies his credentials. Press and information department of RA MFA informs about this.

Ed. Nalbandyan welcomed the Nuncio and said: “The high level of relations betweenArmeniaandVaticanare based on the Christian values, bilateral historical ties, rich cultural and spiritual heritage and I am sure that You also will have an important investment to deepen our relations.”

Archbishop Solchinski thanked for the warm words and greetings and underlined that there were good bases for the cooperation between Holy See andArmeniaand he would do everything to strengthen the ties.

The sides rated Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan’s visit toVaticanand meeting with Pop of Rome. According to them this was another proof of good relations between the sides.

Some regional and international issues were discussed during the meeting as well.
