Armenian Independence Day was marked in Ottawa
On September 21 the 21st anniversary of Armenian Independence was marked in Ottawa, Canada. Press and information department of Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs informs about this.
On the same day in the evening Armenian Embassy in Canada organized a concert at “Tabare” hall of the Ottawa University.
Armenian Ambassador to Canada Armen Yeganyan delivered a speech during the event. In his speech he spoke about the main directions of Armenian foreign policy and presented the main levels of Armenian development as an independent state. Ambassador Yeganyan rated Armenian-Canadian relations and underlined that the friendship with Canada had a great importance for Armenia. Ambassador also underlined the importance of the Diaspora in the development of the Republic of Armenia.
Diplomats, high-level officials attended the event. The musicians who were welcomed so warmly in Ottawa will also stage in Montreal and Torronto.
