Davutoglu calls Syrian Kurds Russian soldiers
At the “Justice and Development” ruling party’s parliamentary faction, the Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutogl announced that the members of the Syrian Kurds’ “Democratic Union” party (PYD) are Russian soldiers, reports “Armenpress” citing the Turkish "Anadolu" agency.
“ After the deterioration of the relations between Turkey and Russia, PYD has turned into the legionary and soldier of the Russian regional programs, damaging Turkey has become a priority for it.
PYD is not the representative of the Kurds at all, it is Russia’s legionary and soldier”, said Davutoglu.
Turkey has started the bombarding of thepositions of “Democratic Union” Party of the Syrian Kurds from February 13.
The Turkish Prime Minister Davutoglu demanded the PYD to withdraw the troops from the adjacent border regions.
The US State Department has criticized these attacks conducted by Tukey.
According to the State Department spokesman John Kirbii’s press release statement, the bombarding of the Syrian government forces and Kurds by the Turkish armed forces, has precipitated the US concern.
On the occasion of the Turkish armed forces’ actions, the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Federica Mogerini has also expressed concern.
She demanded the immediate cessation of the bombing of Syrian territory.
