Azerbaijan’s president not to unleash war
Head of the Modus Vivendi center Ara Papikyan pointed out three possible tensions-Iran-Saudi Arabia, Russia-West and Nagorno-Karabakh conflict.
“We are going to have constant tensions in all three directions, but I don’t think a war will be unleashed,” he reported.
The Russia-West tension which has its manifestation in the Russian-Turkish confrontation poses a threat leading to clashes. However, Mr. Papyan excludes the possibility that a war will be unleashed.
Turkey is going to have tough times, he said.
“As the economic situation in Azerbaijan is worsening day by day, it can incite Aliyev to unleash a war to distract attention.
Aliyev had no chance of victory and now he doesn’t.
“Aliyev is not a bad guy for us. He is speaking too much but he is knee-deep in corruption”.
