Putin and Tsipras discussed settlement of Syrian crisis
The settlement of the Syrian crisis and the refugee problem in the EU have become the theme of telephone conversation held between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Greek Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras on March 10, reports “Armenpress” citing the Kremlin press service.
“While discussing international problems, the main attention was paid to the Syrian crisis, emphasizing the maintenance of the ceasefire regime in the country”, reported the press service.
"The Russian president said that the ceasefire regime maintenance is the key factor of the humanitarian improvement and domestic normalization of the region, as well as the most important step on the way of inter-Syrian political settlement," the Kremlin reports.
"The Greek prime minister highly assessed the efforts being made and in his turn gave details on the measures taken by the European Union on the way of the settlement of refugee problems”, informed the press service.
