New murders in Aleppo

Syrian government troops have killed dozens of foreign-backed insurgents in an assault on a compound in the flashpoint city of Aleppo as heavy fighting continues between the two sides. Iranian Press TV reports about this.
The Syrian Army conducted the operation in the city’s al-Bab district on Friday.
Earlier in the day, at least four civilians, including two children, were killed and 10 others injured in a mortar attack carried out by insurgents targeting the al-Nairab Palestinian refugee camp, 13 kilometers east of the city.
Meanwhile, on the same day, the United States announced that it would allocate an additional $45 million to foreign-backed armed groups fighting against Syrian President Bashar al-Assad’s government.
Clashes in Syria have started since March, 2011.
