Three Armenians are killed in Damascus
On August 28 three citizens with Armenian origin have been killed in unknown conditions in Syrian capital Damascus.
As the Armenian diocese in Syria informs Petros Matosyan (1963), Gevorg Matosyan (1966) and Levon Matosyan (1990) have been killed. Armenians try to take out their corps from the zone of the clashes.
Armed clashes in Syria have started since March 2011 and according to the UN more than 17.000 people have been killed as a result of them. More than ten Armenians have been killed in Syria during this term. Two of them were serving at the Syrian Army.
Armenian Government takes measures to assists our compatriots in Syria. More than 2000 Syrians-Armenians have already arrived in Armenia. 41 families with 76 members have applied to the migration service and hope to get temporary flats. 27 families have already got such flats.
