Russian Deputy Prime Minister Rogozin in Baku
Russian First Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Rogozin is in Baku on an unforeseen visit.
As reports "Armenpress" citing report.az news website, he informed about the issue on Facebook.
As reports the Russian "Kommersant", Rogozin is to meet with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and discuss military-technical cooperation between the two countries.
The newspaper reports that along with Rogozin, the representatives of the Russian "Rosoboronexport" Company, as well as the leadership of the Federal Service for Military-Technical Cooperation are to visit Baku.
According to the newspaper, the visit "is of special character" and had not been planned in advance.
As a reason the necessity "to solve the difficulties concerning export contracts” is mentioned.
According to the report.az, it is assumed that because of the economic crisis Azerbaijan is not able to pay the ordered and already supplied equipment, and Rogozin is in Baku to resolve the issue.
It is noted that Rogozin and his delegation first of all are to meet the Azerbaijani Defense Ministry servicemen, and Russia-Azerbaijan Intergovernmental Commission Deputy Prime Minister Yagub Eyyubov and then with Aliyev.
