H. Fischer: “Artsakh conflict is very complicated”
Armenia sees no alternative of the NK issue peace settlement but the OSCE MG. Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan announced about this during the joint press-conference with the Austrian President Heinz Fischer who is in Armenia with the official visit.
“Azerbaijani behavior on the border is troubles a lot. Young people are perished as a result of these provocation”, S. Sargsyan said.
S. Sargsyan reminded about the joint document which was accepted by the Presidents of three co-chairing countries during the G 20 summit in Mexico. The document underlined once more there are three principles which must be taken into consideration for the issue settlement. They are nations’ self-determination, territorial integrity of the country and not-use of force. “Armenian side is ready to move on with these principles. Azerbaijan accepts only territorial integrity of these three principles.”
Austrian President underlined in his turn that Artsakh conflict is very complicated.
“I know Azerbaijani and Turkish attitude towards the issue and now I know Armenian attitude as well. And I consider that such issues will not be settled by using force. The snipers must be removed from the first line and we hope that OSCE MG co-chairs will continue their efforts towards the peace solution of the issue”, Fischer underlined and added that great patience is needed.
